Welcome to the National Young and Very Young Violists Competition page! Here, you'll find information about the upcoming competitions organized by the French Viola Society.

This year, the organization Les Amis de l'Alto merged with the French Viola Society, uniting their efforts to support all violists in France.

​

The National Young Violist Competition (NYVC), founded by Les Amis de l'Alto over 40 years ago, has been cherished by generations of violists! The National Very Young Violist Competition (NVYVC), exclusively open to students residing in France, has also been highly successful since its creation in 2018.

​

In 2024, the NYVC and NVYVC will take place at the Conservatory of Boulogne-Billancourt, 22 rue de la Belle Feuille - 92100 Boulogne-Billancourt, from November 28 to 30. Mark your calendars!

​

Note : Competition for the Bachelor's degree (open to neighbouring countries) ​will take place on 29th morning (9am - 1pm) for the first Round and 30th Afternoon (3pm) for the Final Round. We will contact you few days before for more details.
